Oregon Pine
The splint is narrow and light yellow, the core is yellowish to reddish brown and deeper in color when exposed to air. Fragrances in fresh condition aromatic and slightly resinous. This North American specie is very strong in relation to its weight. Light brown color with reddish stripes. An easily workable hardwood. Used frequently for plywood and for furniture, windows, doors, pilot piles, ship tires, railway sleepers, masts and rafters.
